Who Are We ?
Who are we? You and I, and any other world citizen who has been attracted to this topic. Any one who likes to support, promote, practice, or discuss applied humanism, requesting the application of humane ideas into the societal structures of family, education, economy, and into the established political systems around the world.
Applied humanism means to put human nature, human basic needs and human basic rights such as the right to preserve self, the right to maintain self worth, and the right to be informed, ahead of other societal elements such as economy and science. In fact, in a humanist society the core goal of economy, governing system, family and education, would be to establish and maintain the above mentioned rights along with all other previously recognized human rights, for all human beings. Applied humanism means bringing humanity into the societal systems of government, economy, education and family, and into the core systems of character shaping, while recognizing religion as an individual personal choice outside the societal structures.
This author believes that the overly valued monetary and the inhumane International economic systems are the main sources of many existing problems around the world. To make a better society and for real advancement, we, as the entity of people and government combined, instead of allowing the economic considerations shape our lives, must focus on the needs of human beings. Equally important, is creating better/healthier characters who can and care to create better world for all.
Similar to the nature which holds within and circulates both birth and death, the human mind has the roots in two opposite energy sources of positive thoughts and negative thoughts, capable of creating growth or destruction. In fact, the collective thoughts of human beings in each period of time determines the pattern and level of growth and destruction in the world.
• (Has your voice / opinion been heard? , Have your thoughts been counted on the collective thoughts of your time?, Have you had the opportunity to feel connected to the life on earth beyond yours? )
